Spanish Authorities agreed to accept PCCs: Ramoowalia

Jalandhar, Sep 13 (PTI) Former union minister and president of Lok Bhalai Party Balwant Singh Ramoowalia, today said that Union Minister of External Affairs, S M Krishna has informed him that Spanish authorities, who were reluctant to accept the Police Clearing Certificates (PCCs) issued by the state authorities, has agreed to accept the same. "Union Foreign Minister S M Krishna has written to me that he has taken up the issue with the Spanish authorities, who finally agreed to accept the PCCs to allow permanent immigration to the Indian youth," Ramoowalia said in a statement released here.

"Very soon I will go to Spain to ensure whether youngsters were not having any difficulty now to seek permanent immigration in Spain," he said. Ramoowalia, whose party had virtually waged a war in support of about 5000 Indian youths, living in Spain, who were facing difficulties in getting permanent immigration due to non-acceptance of PCCs issued by the state authorities.
